**Interview & Giveaway** Party Time with Author Nana Malone

Hey Everyone!! I'm so happy to be having Nana Malone on the blog today! She was able to do an interview and I have a review also! Don't forget to enter the giveaway!! She Is giving away one copy of her book The Reluctant Protector!!
Welcome to PNRP!!! Tell us a little about yourself Nana!
I’ve lived all over the world but my family is originally from Ghana. Growing up, I was always itchy for new adventures and slamming my nose in a book was the easiest, safest way I could manage it. It was during one of my less successful adventures in New York that I decided to actually do something about my writing hobby and aim for publication. It took me eleven years 3 completed manuscripts and more rejections than I care to count but I’m finally here.

With the release of your new book Reluctant Protector, can you tell followers a little about it?
For five years, Cassie Reeser has been her brother’s personal lab rat. Peter’s experiments have made her a stronger, faster, better human. And she’s not the only one. For five years, escape has eluded her. Until now.

Seth Adams is used to sifting through lies to find the truth. As a former war correspondent he knows what evils lurk in the world. When he finds Cassie hiding out in his car trunk, her story sounds like a fantastical dream. But, before long, he witnesses firsthand the evil she’s running from.

What is your creative muse? Do you listen to music or have a certain ritual that needs to be done?
Highlife music. Storytelling comes with the territory when you grow up in a boisterous African family. And so does Highlife music. It always puts me in the mood to tell a story.

How was the writing process? Are you a visual writer or do the characters 'speak' to you?
I’m not particularly visual. I don’t’ have to have pictures or anything. But the characters sort of appear in my head with a string of dialogue or a scene. And they don’t leave until I’m done with them.

What are your favorite Paranormal beings? (vamps, shifters etc.)
Superheros But I love a werewolf too. Vamps have always scared me a little. Unless it’s Buffy, I can’t watch a vamp movie for some reason.

What are 3 words you would use to describe Cassie and Seth??
Sexy, driven and powerful.

Did you know you always wanted to be a writer??
I’ve always loved to read. I carried books everywhere. I’ve always written as well. It didn’t occur to me that I could make it my career. That anybody would want to read something I write.

What was the most difficult part(s) you encountered when writing Reluctant Protector?
Good question. Most of this book pretty much poured out of me, but since I’m not that accustomed to writing action, I made it a point to take it slower in those areas.

Who has been your best or favorite character to write and why?
Of all my characters? Don’t’ make me choose! Lol. I love them all, they’re all tiny little pieces of me. But if I had to choose, then Jessica from Game, Set, Match.

A la twitter style.. using only 140 characters, describe Reluctant Protector!!
Two superheroes battle & overcome an unseen evil as they fight 2 protect those who can't protect themselves. All the while falling in love.

Do you have any other projects coming up? Do you know how many will be in this series?
My next project will be a sexy contemporary called Sexy in Stilettos due for release in April. As far as this series goes, there will be two more installments this year. Forsaken Protector is slated for release this summer. I’ve planned for at least 6 with a spinoff series. So who knows?

Who is your favorite Paranormal Romance Author? Any specific books or series?
Hands down, JR Ward, BDB Series. Close second is Misty Evans Witches Anonymous series. Totally different, but both loved.

What is you favorite drink or food to have at a Party?!?!
Kelewele! Say what you say? It’s Plantain cut up into little bite sized pieces, spiced with ginger, onions and other spices and then fried. I could eat it all day.
